The passing of Nellie May Bobbitt of Mount Carmel, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 26, 2024 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyril Williams and Lottie Williams (Carson); her spouse Reverend Marlin Bobbitt; and her sister Stella Fay. She is survived by: her children, Marlin Bobbitt (Judy), Rick Bobbitt (Linda), Tim Bobbitt (Brenda), Dan Bobbitt (Sherry), Marla Wormack (Marcus) and Kelly Swanson; and her siblings, Nick Williams, Carmi Howder and Sherry Hedge. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Keepes Funeral Home (1500 N Cherry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Maumee Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Nellie's memory to Union Mission Congregational Church.
