She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Peters and Irene Peters (Dunkel); her spouse Thomas L. Kieffer of Mary's Church; and her brothers, Don, Fred Peters (Carol) and Leon Merriel (Ann Kight-Miller).
She is survived by: her sons, Anthony Kieffer (Gloria) of Mt. Carmel, Jeff Kieffer (Goldie) of Allendale, Paul Kieffer (Misty) of Mt. Carmel and Joseph Kieffer (Christy) of Browns; her siblings, Nick Peters (Dee), Linda Sutton (Jack), Jim Peters (Bill Moretini) and Annette Weems (Brad); and her grandchildren, Christopher Kieffer (Erin), Darron Kieffer (Kim), Patrick Kieffer, Amanda Thombleson, Tabatha Lang, Nick Kieffer (Sara), Patty Windle (Hank) and Kyle Kieffer (Taylor).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Short-Cunningham Funeral Home (527 N Mulberry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (125 W 5th St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
