Winans of Mount Auburn, Illinois, born in Champaign, Illinois, who passed away on September 2, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Denzil Smith and Myra Smith (Frazee); her spouse R. Merle Winans; her son Bradley O. Winans; and her brothers, Denzil Smith Jr., Harold Smith, Don Smith, George (Leah Winans), James (Dixie Winans) and Glenn (Dorothy Winans).
She is survived by: her children, Linda Jo Winans of Mt. Auburn, Russ Winans (Becky), Curt Winans (Vickie), Alex Winans (Kay) and Ben Winans (Amy) of Taylorville, IL; her daughter-in-law Pam Winans of Bloomington, IL; her grandchildren, Josh Winans (Ann), Jacob Winans (Laura), Phillip Winans, Jennifer Anderson (Gabe), Jarred Winans, Abby Winans, Eric Winans, Travis Winans and Lilly Winans; her great grandchildren, Kaylor, Toby, Lauren, Tucker, Ty and Madelyn; her brother Homer Lee Smith (Mary Alice) of Arlington Heights; her sisters-in-law, Bev Smith of Normal and Marilyn Smith of Florida; and her children, Cunningham Ave of Urbana, IL and Springfield Rd. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
