He is survived by: his wife Shirley Simmons; and his children, David D. Simmons (Brenda) of Auburn, IL, Daniel H. Simmons (Beth) of Mt. Auburn, IL and Janet L. Sheley (Jerry) of Chatham, IL. He is also survived by five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
