She is survived by: her husband James H. Powell; her children, Jannifer Powell of Mounds, IL, James Powell Jr. of Tocoma, WA, Esther Mead (Thomas) of Mounds, IL and Demetrius Powell of Sandusky, IL; her sister Ernestine Barber of Anderson, IN; and her close friend Marene Jackson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many other friends.
