It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon (Henderson) Ivy of Mounds, Illinois, born in Thebes, Illinois, who passed away on June 15, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Henderson and Nellie Henderson (Bailey); her son Matthew Whitley; and her siblings, Lily Modglin, Barbara Coleson, Junior, Vernon, Melvin and Wayne.
She is survived by: her husband Danny Ivy; her daughters, Tabitha Smith (Kenny), Telitha Smith (Mike Ireland) and Bobbie Jo Hurt (Rodney); her grandchildren, Jessica, Madelynn, Kenny "Punky", Lance, Shane and Chase; her great grandchildren, Owen, Tucker, Ruby, Kendell and Kenton; her brothers, Paul, Benny and Kenny; and her close friend Mary Lee. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
