She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Hickman and Walter Hollis; her husband Herbert Algee; her daughter Dorsey Ann Hollis; and her sisters, Lorene Beverly and Alene Reed.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Brown (Daniel), Nina Davis (Jessie), Stephanie Anderson, Dionne Mehalopoulos, Andrail Henry and Timothy Henry; her brothers, Willie Hickman (Charlene) and Alphonso Cherry (Maria); and her sisters-in-law, Mary Meeks and Cherry of Florida. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren and five great great grand children.
