He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn M. Roberts and Eugene Johnson; his brother Ronald Roberts; his daughter Gwendolyn Pilgram-Childress; his grandson Jererick Pilgram; and his sister-in-law Patricia Faust.
He is survived by: his wife Flora M. Johnson; his children, Jerome Johnson of Centralia, Thetis Johnson of Centralia, Eric Jeffers of Cape Girardeau, Missouri., Arcenia Pilgram of San Diego, Teresa Pilgram (Thomas) of Cairo, Paula D. Pilgram of Cape Girardeau and Deidre L. Pilgram of Bowling Green, Kentucky.; his adoptive daughter Latoyua Johnson of Baltimore, Maryland.; his siblings, Dianne Griffin (Ricardo) of Belleville, Clarence of Mounds, Joseph Faust of Mounds and Willie L. Roberts of Dallas; and his close friends, Calvin Johnson, Mary Caison, Elijah Blake and Charles Jeffers (Chuck). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-laws.
