With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Grace E. Gary of Mounds, Illinois, born in Charleston, Missouri, who passed away on June 19, 2022 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James H. Mitchell Sr. and Rosetta Anderson Mitchell; her husband Hervey L. Gary Jr.; her brothers, Alfreddie R. Mitchell, William H. Mitchell, Sylvester Mitchell Sr. and James Henry Mitchell Jr.; and her daughter YuVonn Evette Gary-Foulks.
She is survived by: her children, Mashea Spencer (Jasper), Lamel D. Gary Sr. (Nadine Black) and Hervey L. Gary III; her sisters, Jeanette Wesson, Joan Dickerson Jr. (Artie), Joyce Thompson (Ernest) and Marcella Stubblefield; her siblings-in-law, Sarah Gary-Ware, Devon Gary Sr. and Gregory Gary Sr.; her grandchildren, Kishan, Kiana, Lamel Jr., Ismail Sr., Lamonte, Trajan, JaKhia, Kyndell, Jayden Grace, Raheem and Isiah; and her friends, Charles, Sarah Gatewood and Gary Sager. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
