She is survived by: her mother Odell Avant-Duncan; her sons, Bennie Avant of Houston, Monwell Wilson (Patrycja) of Kansas City, Anthony Webster (Nyila) of Kansas City, Baye Wilson (Angel) of Indianapolis, Phillipe Wilson of Kansas City, Randall Wilson, Dewayne Wilson, James Wilson, Jr. of Decatur and Carlous Wilson of Irving, Texas; her siblings, Patricia Young (Rufus) of Ben Harbor, Mary Joyce Yankey of Dayton, Etta Pearl Kelly (Paul) of Portland, Betty Duncan of Portland, Pamela Duncan of Bowling Green, Clifton Avant of Forrest City, Rev. David Avant, Jr. (Flora) of Forrest City, Lorenzo and BuFloretta Avant Simelton (Flo); and her sons, Jamar Abdual-Jabbar Avant Sr. (Mioshea) of Dallas and Joe Simelton Jr. Prior (Bianca) of Bowling Green. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
