She was predeceased by: her parents, Garfield Hughes and Roberta Sowers Hughes; and her siblings, Marlene Hughes and Preston "Joe" Hughes, Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Cleo King; her children, Charlotte Woods, Jr. (Sandy) of Villa Ridge, IL, Carla King of Chicago, IL. and Chauncey J. Hughes, Sr. (Susan Howard) of Cairo, IL.; her siblings, Dillie Hughes of Mounds, IL, Minnie Womack of Elgin, IL. and John "Teedy" Hughes (Constance) of Elgin, IL.; and her stepchildren, Karen Conquest (Walter) of Virginia, Elana Peolples (Skip) of Atlanta, GA., Carl King (Doris) of Mound City, IL and Craig King of California. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
