She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Joe Ballentine and Isola Ballentine (Batts). She is survived by: her spouse Lee Posey Oats; her children, Lee Posey Oats, Jr., Charles Oats of Cape Girardeau and Rose Mary Oats (Riley Purdiman) of Hodges Park; her siblings, Lathan Ballentine, James Ballentine, Rosa Lee Johnson and Ophelia Hardamon; her grandchildren, Carletus Lathan, Lee Posey Oats, II, James Simelton, Georgia Mae Ross-Cole (Nikki), Charles Oats, Jr., Deaudry Oats, Teaoshia Purdiman, Ramone Oats and Riley Purdiman, Jr.; her siblings, Sharon Tyler, Glenda Ballentine and Leorval Hayes; and her close friends, Jacqueline Davis and Octavia Pratt. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
