He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sr. Knapp and Mollie Knapp (Roth); his wife Eileen Rose Stetzler; and his siblings, George, Elmer, Albert, Chris Knapp, Clementine Joos, Luella Joos and Alice Knapp.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Beyer (Bob) of Pekin, Diane Wurmnest (Mike) of Deer Creek and Vicki Bennett of Morton; his grandchildren, Lindsay Shawver, Austin Beyer (Jessica), Chad Wurmnest (Emily), Kyle Wurmnest (Jaime), Jenna Nicholson (Jake), Tyler Bennett (Victoria) and Parker Bennett; and his great grandchildren, Ciara Beyer, Colin Beyer, Carter Baldes, Cynthia Beyer, Roman Berry, Jack, Lucy Wurmnest, Garrett, Gavin Wurmnest, Kimber and Kaylee Nicholson.
