He was predeceased by: his parents, John Corey and Kathryn Corey; and his sisters, Virginia and Mary Jane. He is survived by: his wife Judith Springston; his sons, John, Jeff, Greg (Jennifer) and Mark (Nicole); and his siblings, Patty Rush, Ray Corey (Linda), Jim Corey (Rita) and Kathy LaHood (Denny).

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
