He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Ackerman and Emma Ackerman (Joos); his wife Marjorie Ackerman of Morton; his children, Matthew Ackerman (Missy) of New Palestine, Sara Vlietstra (Andy) of Fort Collins, Colo, Kary Mangers (Doug) of Des Peres and Adam Ackerman (Linsey) of Nolensville, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua (Anna Ackerman), Emma, Claire, Rachel Vlietstra of Fort Collins, Colo, Alexa, Brayden, Alayna Mangers of Des Peres, Audrey and Wyatt (Colton Ackerman); his siblings, Roberta Beutel (Tim) of Morton, Elaine Barth (David) of Bluffton, Ind. and Donald Ackerman (Wanda) of Deer Creek; his brothers-in-law, Larry Trimble (Marilyn) of Mackinaw and John Trimble (Donna) of Mackinaw; and his sister Diane Peterson. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Social distancing guidelines will be observed during the visitation and funeral service and masks are required.
