He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Simms and Anna H. Simms. He is survived by: his wife Emily Canellas-Simms; his children, Richard Simms (Mike) and Cori Rivas (Jeff); his stepsons, Carl Soderstrom (Jennifer), Robert Soderstrom (Soyun), Steve Soderstrom (Carrie), Erik Soderstrom and John Soderstrom; his grandchildren, Kyi Rivas and Kinley Rivas; and his stepgrandchildren, Samantha, Matthew, Drew, Dillon, Jackson, Nicholas, Alex, Emma, Selma and Theo.
