It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Bassett of Morton, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on March 26, 2022, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Bassett; his wife Sandra Bassett; and his stepdaughter Shayna Stimeling. He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Bassett (Pelton) of Morton; his siblings, John Bassett (Teresa) and Linda Stebbins (Phillip); his stepdaughters, Tia Stimeling and Kayla Stimeling; and his girlfriend Holly Hundt. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
