She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoke Hammond and Annie Ruth Hammond; her husband Lawrence Murphy; and her granddaughters, Savannah Davis and Sophia Mulloy.

She is survived by: her children, Jim Oliver (Midori Clark), Jan Oliver Mulloy (Peoria) and Julie Oliver Davis (Tom Limmer); her grandchildren, Brett, Hannah (Chance Wessel), Lauren Oliver, Olivia Davis Hoium (Brian), Jarrad Davis and Emma Mulloy; her great grandchildren, Norri Davis and Julian Hoium; and her sisters, JoAn Hanes, Hokie Wright and Katherine Webb.
