He was predeceased by: his sisters, Gladys Fisher of Naperville and Deloris Martin of Eureka; his grandson David Stevig; and his son-in-law Terry Stevig. He is survived by: his parents, John Wittmer and Matilda Wittmer (Walder); his spouse Ella Rose Bauer; his children, Mary Streitmatter (Rich) of Morton, Ruth Stevig of Wauconda, Roy Wittmer (Sue) of Goodfield, David Wittmer (Laurie) of Morton, Jane Fehr (John) of Roanoke and Susan Henning (Jim) of Gurnee, Ill.; his grandchildren, John, Dan Streitmatter, Becky Hanrahan, Sarah Roudis, Laura, Rachel, Andrew Fehr and Julia Wilson; and his stepgrandchildren, Abby Salat and Kate Henning.
