She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hans and Floy Merile Shurtz (Preston); her husband Dr. Milton L. Axley; her brothers, John David "Jackie" Shurtz, Dale E. Shurtz and Marion Ray Shurtz (Yvonne); and her son-in-law Dwight "Abe" Myers.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Myers of Morton and Milton J. Axley (Shelagh Smith) of Rockville; her grandchildren, David Ely (Abby) of Morton and Elizabeth Axley of Tivoli, N. Y.; her great grandchildren, Zane and Izzy Ely of Morton; her sisters, Jane Bell of Colo and Floy Ann Borgman (Dennis) of Mo; and her sister-in-law June Shurtz of Mo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
