He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlie Joseph and Wilda Leona Rhodes (Burns); his spouse Garna Bernard; his daughter Linda Lou Rhodes; and his siblings, David F. Rhodes, Juanita Rhodes, Hariette Thurston, Duane Rhodes and Gerald Rhodes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debora Rhodes of Normal and Brenda Baer (John) of Tremont; his grandchildren, Adam Rhodes (Katrina), Tressa Schneider (Maxwell), Rebekah Baer (Matt Mocilan), Sophia Thacker (Jeremiah) and Anna Baer (Josh Norman); and his brothers, Gilbert and James Rhodes. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
