He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Ashworth and Iva Ashworth (Tredway); his wife Dorothy Ashworth of Morton; his daughters, Jill Schaab (Randy) of Normal and Joan Hufford (Terry) of Cincinnati, Ohio; his grandchildren, Heidi, Regan, Parker Schaab, Allie and Steven Hufford; and his brother Gerald Dickey (Mary Ann) of Indianapolis, Ind..

Memorials may be made to Morton United Methodist Church in Morton.
