He is survived by: his children, Steven Fanta (Julie) of Morton, Linda Troemel (Brian) of Spring Grove and Julie Carson (Eric) of Aurora; his grandchildren, Joey Fanta (Amy), Bobby Fanta (Betsi), Katie Guth (Chris), Becky Ropp (Tyler), Chelsea Bowman (Luke), Stacey Weier (Doug), Alec Troemel (Hayley), Abby Troemel, Ben Carson, Neal Carson and Adam Carson; and his great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Zachariah, Annaliese Fanta, Zebadiah, Lillian, Silas Fanta, Bailey, Kylie, Ray Guth, Lewis Ropp, Everett, Ross, Laila, Levi Bowman, Josie, Lucy Weier and Theodore Troemel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - Peoria Affiliate Clinic.
