In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Donald leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Donald may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Meyer and Lucille Meyer (Reiser); his sister Vivian Tuley; and his son-in-law Bill Coombs. He is survived by: his children, Laurie Hartzell (Paul) of Washington, IL, Gina Coombs of Greeley, CO and Chris Meyer (Becky) of Morton, IL; and his brother Wendell Meyer of Cary, NC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory (2075 Washington Rd, Washington, IL 61571). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Deiters Funeral Home (2075 Washington Rd, Washington, IL 61571).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude, and Easter Seals.
