He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Russell Whitten and Alleyne Whitten (Martin); his children, Tammi Latham (Roger) of Lake Worth, Fla., Tad Whitten (Paige) of Congerville and Darin Whitten (Dana) of Rochester, Ill.; his son-in-law Dr. Thomas Wilson of Chattanooga, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Heather Julseth (Chris) of Niceville, Fla., Jason Rechner (Erin) of Springfield, Tanner Whitten (Lorin) of Oviedo, Fla., Sydney Whitten of Nashville and Tabitha Wilson of Chattanooga, Tenn.; his daughter Penni Jo Wilson; and his siblings, Doyle Whitten and Barbara McCord. He was also cherished by five great-grandchildren.
