He is survived by: his wife Peggy Slavens; his children, Cherie McWherter (Chuck) of Lockport, IL, David Michael Slavens of Sycamore, IL and Patrick Slavens (Catlyn) of Pekin, IL; his stepchildren, Daniel Kasabian of Ashland, VA and Sarah Larson (James) of Alma, MI.; his grandchildren, Amanda, Greg, Shannon, Beth, Brooke, Joshua, Brady, Thomas, Jacklyn, Ashlyn, Gabriel and Dominick; and his great grandchild Ada.
