He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Pettis and Rowena Pettis (Cooper); and his brothers, Frank and Carl Pettis. He is survived by: his children, Crystal Pettis of Cleburne, Charles Carey Pettis (Julia) of Henry, Troy Lashbrook (Annette) of Kenney, Melanie Vice (Steve) of Pekin and Coleen Moore (Charlie) of Bloomington, Ill.; and his sister Christine Murgrage (Gene). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
