With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Betty Ellen Leggott of Morton, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Betty Ellen left this world on November 9, 2024 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Dean and Lucille Ellen Slusher (Leigraf); her husband H. Keith Leggott; her daughter Lori Jo Leggott; her granddaughter Emma E. Herzog; and her siblings, Beverly Maier and Robert Slusher.
She is survived by: her children, Keith Leggott (Karen) of Morton, Susan Herzog (Henry) of Deerfield and Sharon Leggott of Lawrence, Kansas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church (2020 West Malone Street, Peoria, IL 61605). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Heart of Illinois Down Syndrome Association, in the name of Lori Jo Leggott or Christ Lutheran Church.
