It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Alice Bates of Morton Grove, Illinois, who passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Donald H. Bates; her son Nathan Bates; and her cousin Jim Smith (Sally). She is survived by: her son Aaron Bates; her grandchild A. J. Bates; her daughter-in-law Anita DiFiglio-Bates; her brother Alan Raitor (Jeannie); her nieces and nephews, Nancy Emmel (Mark), Mark Raitor (Peggy), John Raitor (Carleen), Gwen O'Neal (Tony), Paula Viens and Ernie Viens; and her cousins, Ruth Doherty-Marks (Carl), William Doherty (Laurie), Dennis Doherty and Ann Carter.
