She was predeceased by: her parents, Leovigildo Castillo and Feliciana Castillo; and her sister Cristina Castillo. She is survived by: her husband Jose H.; her daughters, Eileen Hennessy (Jeffrey) and Michelle Fernandez (Jason); her grandchildren, Ember Hennessy, Marissa, Makayla, Jayden and Madelyn Fernandez; and her siblings, Leonicia Castillo, Adelaida Castillo, Herminigildo Castillo (Elizabeth), Divina Carpio (Gregorio) and Renato Castillo (Liberty). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Simkins Funeral Home (6251 Dempster St, Morton Grove, IL 60053-2818). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Martha Catholic Church (8523 Georgiana Ave, Morton Grove, IL 60053).
