He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Guy and Grace Mae Montgomery (Van Houten); his former wife Phyllis Mae Hancock; his children, Patricia Lea Montgomery and Douglas Wayne Montgomery; and his daughter-in-law Arlene Kay Montgomery.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Kraner (McKinnie); his children, Robert Montgomery (Della) of Morrisonville, Don Montgomery of Loami, Judy Hunt of Raymond, David Montgomery (Sarah) of Mound City, MO and Amy Schmedeke (Dan) of Morrisonville; and his siblings, Carol Oliver of San Jose, CA, Tyler Montgomery (Linda) of Beverly Hills, FL, Jim Montgomery (Susie) of Taylorville and Grace Arlene Kidd of Springfield. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren.
