It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Wake of Morrisonville, Illinois, who passed away on December 24, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilburn Wake Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Wake (Teer); and his brother Ronnie Lee Wake. He is survived by: his wife Valorie Wake of Morrisonville; his children, Joey Ballion of Taylorville, Katie Davis of Taylorville, Brandon Wake (Hannah Neisler) of Kincaid and Dalton Wake of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Liam Davis, Elijah Davis, Emmett Wake, Erickson Wake and Everett Wake; his siblings, Wilburn Wake Jr. (Donna) of Rochester, Kay Hart (Gary) of Kincaid and Jerry Wake (Mary) of Girard; and his pet Chummy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Stone Pillar Church (108 E Douglas St, Edinburg, IL 62531). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
