He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Forbes and Vera Mae Forbes (Swinger); his sons, Chuck Forbes and Johnny Ray Forbes; his great grandchild Kiley Beckmier; his daughter-in-law Jan Forbes; and his sisters, Ruth Fleigle and Norma Bryan.
He is survived by: his former wife Patricia Wallace; his wife Pat Forbes of Springfield, IL; his children, Mark Forbes (Deb) of Morrisonville, Bryan Forbes (Patti) of Mahomet, Ronda Carl (John) of Glendale Heights and Kathy Beckmier (Dennis) of Humboldt; and his daughter-in-law Jackie Forbes of Vandalia. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
