He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Skinner and Ruth Skinner (Oller); his daughter Heather Marie Skinner; and his siblings, Ruby Helms, Alberta Delahunt, Violet Esther Woodkirk, Betty Skinner, Brenda Skinner, Wileen "Sue" Hendricks, Melvin "Bill", Earl, Sherman and Clifford Skinner.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn R. Skinner of Morrisonville; his children, James David Skinner (Ashley) of Jacksonville, Phillip Edward Skinner (Tracie) of Morrisonville, Andrew Joseph Skinner (Jen) of Morrisonville and Michelle Rae Skinner-Crowder (Daniel) of Taylorville; his grandchildren, Bethany, Arin, David, Kira, Blake, Harley, Lydia, Libby Skinner, Alishia Wright (Adam), Thomas Skinner (Taylor), Jacob Clampet, Alex, Josh, Kendell Skinner, Michael Skinner (Hannah) and Austin Crowder; his great grandchildren, Elaine and Eli; and his siblings, Larry Skinner of Blue Mound, Sheila Skinner of Taylorville, Mary Grandfield (Claude "Gene") of Blue Mound, Donald Skinner (Brenda) of Harvel and Clarissa Hirtman (William) of Decatur. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
