He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Colonius and Mary Colonius (Carriker); his spouse Cornelia Mae Klinefelter; his siblings, Lamar Colonius, Ruth Bowers and Mary Lou Huber; and his son-in-law Craig Norrell.
He is survived by: his children, Neal Colonius (Marcia) of Rock Hill, Brenda Colonius of Denver, Mark Colonius of Shelbyville and Jay Colonius (Nenen) of Denver, Colorado; his grandchildren, Mackinzey Colonius Ridenour, Tristan Colonius and Casey Colonius; his great grandchild Laney Mae; and his siblings, Darrell Colonius (Sharon) of Edinburg, Phil Colonius (Bev) of Springfield, Martha Atkinson of Oklahoma and Lynda Hutchens of Springfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Buckeye United Methodist Church.
