It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Theresa Marie Zilly of Morrison, Illinois, born in Elmhurst, Illinois, who passed away on September 11, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Theresa Marie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Theresa Marie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Heft and Theresa Heft; her husband Richard A. Zilly; and her sister Ruth Castronovo (late Vince). She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth; and her grandchildren, Darlene Jobin, Zoe Johnson (Brendan), Kai Zilli (Dakota Wilson), Steven Zilly, Amanda Weisenberger (Jeff) and Jessica Marshall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Nachusa Grasslands through The Nature Conservancy.
