She was predeceased by: her parents, Johan Alfred and Walborg Marie Svensen (Norman); her husband Wilbur D. Mills, Jr.; her sons, Bruce and John Mills; and her sisters, Aina Davis and Agnes Trumble.
She is survived by: her son Howard Mills (Pat) of Morrison. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren.
Per her wishes, Ruth's body will be donated to the Deeded Body Program of the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.
