He was predeceased by: his parents, Ren Dykstra and Ella Dykstra (Balk); his wife Thelma M. Kettler; his siblings, Eleanor Jansma (Herman), Lola Klimstra (Roland), Anna Rus (LeRoy), Clifford Dykstra (Evelyn) and Roy Dykstra (Helen); his brother-in-law Clarence "Clink" Kettler (Jeanne); and his close friend Judy Adolph.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Cravatta (Greg) of Genoa, IL, Randall Dykstra (Karen) of Fulton, Allen Dykstra (Nancy) of Morrison and Edward Dykstra of Thomson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters.
