He was predeceased by: his wife Verna J. Dykstra; and his siblings, Gertrude Drolema, Hildred Buikema, Minnie Huizenga and Charles Huizenga.
He is survived by: his children, Ruth Robbins (Robb) of Grand Haven, MI, Donna Nelson (Doug) of Ojai, CA and Bob Huizenga of Muskegon, MI; his daughter-in-law Barb Kirchaine of Muskegon, MI; his grandchildren, Josh Robbins (Lidie), Ben Robbins (Amy), Adam Nelson (Mia), Matt Nelson (Lindsey), Luke Nelson (Marisol), Chad Huizenga, Jon Huizenga and Katie Recknagel; his sisters, Bernice Workman of Fulton and Anna Marie Smith of Fulton; and his sister-in-law Marian Vogel of Fulton. He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
Face masks will be required at the visitation and the funeral service.
A memorial has been established to Resthave Home and Spring Valley Reformed Church.
