Kenneth J. Huizenga Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth J. Huizenga of Morrison, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 21, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kenneth J. Huizenga to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Huizenga and Alice Huizenga (Housenga); his former wife Luella Rus; his daughter Louise; his siblings, Ella Mae Wherry, Marion Reynolds, Donald, John, Rolland, Harold and Clifford Huizenga; and his grandson Zachary Isenhart.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Schuler (Stralow); his children, Kevin Huizenga of Newton, IA, Karen Leif (Terry) of Chadwick, IL and Debra VanderVinne (Dennis) of Bettendorf, IA; his stepson Bruce Schuler (Gerrianne) of Caledonia, MI; his grandchildren, Jory Ringler, Kendra Huizenga, Jacob Huizenga, Kylea Ruiz, Tyler Isenhart, Sarah Leif, Carson Leif, Madeline Howell, Gabrielle VanderVinne, Ella Schuler and Lola Schuler; and his brother Arnold Huizenga (Marilyn) of Fulton, IL.. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Lutheran Church (601 N Jackson St, Morrison, IL 61270). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fulton Township Cemetery (701 Fowler Rd, Fulton, IL 61252).
A luncheon at the church will follow the service, with the interment at the Fulton Township Cemetery scheduled for later that afternoon, starting at 2 p.m. Memorials to St. Jude and Gaffey Hospice have been established.
