He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair Scudder, Jr. and Dorothy Scudder (Williams); his wife June Elizabeth Edwards; his grandson Jeremy Lee Starr; and his siblings, Joyce Blair, Dorothy Tiesman, Judy Hook and Ray Scudder.

He is survived by: his children, Terri Jo Starr of Morrison, Roger Scudder (Cathy) of Morrison and Tim Scudder (Tina) of Dixon, IL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to Rock River Hospice & Home.
