With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol A. Leal of Morrison, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on January 6, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry K. Collins and Ethel M. Collins (Turnbull); her sibling-in-law Nestoria Leal; her daughter Robin Cain; her grandson Derrek Boelkins; her sister Gloria Blasdell (Morry); and her brothers-in-law, John Espinoza, Torbio Leal, Jr., Philip Leal and Tony Leal.
She is survived by: her husband John J. Leal; her children, Rebecca Jamison (Ray Johnson) of Clinton, IA, Rodney Hamm (Kathy) of Fulton, IL and Ray Hamm (Kristina) of Fenton, IL; her stepdaughters, Mary Lowe (Buck) of Rosman, NC, Tina Taylor (Joe) of Kansas City, MO and Joey Huebbe (Jason) of Davenport, IA; her brother Larry Collins (Kathy) of Newton, IL; and her siblings-in-law, Jane Espinoza of Sterling, Nora Puentes of Sterling, Rosemary Mena (Bob) of Sterling, Julie Herrera (Jose) of Sterling, Ralph Leal (Toni) of Sterling, Richard Leal (Esther) of Sterling, Frank Leal (Linda) of Sterling, Joseph Leal of Sterling, Rock Falls and David Leal of Florida. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to the American Diabetes Association.
