He was predeceased by: his parents, Versal A. Sr. Platt and Margaret Platt (Sanders); his son Aaron; and his sisters, Donna Knop and Sharon Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Enerson; his sons, Sherman of Morris and Adam of Morris; and his siblings, Mary Broderick (Gerald) of Morris and Timothy Platt (Betty) of Sheridan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to a cancer research organization of the donor's choice.
