It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara D. Vilt of Morris, Illinois, born in Santa Maria, Texas, who passed away on November 25, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Toribio Rodriguez and Prajedes Rodriguez; her siblings, Concepcion (Chon), Consuelo Gonzalez (Coco), Leopoldo (Polo), Eloisa Rodriguez, Josefa Rodriguez (Chepa) and Enrique (Henry); her son David Vilt; and her brothers-in-law, Allen (Roy) and Paul Vilt.
She is survived by: her husband Alvin Vilt (Ray); her siblings, Elisa Vuittonet (Raul) of Harlingen, TX and Israel Rodriguez (Janie) of Harlingen, TX; her daughters, Della Rankin (Jerry) of Morris, IL and Deanna Cook (Craig) of Morris, IL; her daughter-in-law Hilda Vilt (David) of Harlingen, TX; her brother-in-law Dale Vilt of Schaumburg, IL; her grandchildren, Tanya Downey (Josh), Sondra Rankin, Shawn Brown (Casi), Josh Vilt (Natalie), Jeremy Vilt, Jordan Vilt (Gina), Tasha Vilt (Tony), Brett Cook and Jasmine Cook; her great grandchildren, Ella Walker, Tyler and Hope Downey; her grandchildren, Lorelai, Maverick Brown, Jacob (Rylan), Mileena Vilt, Tristan and Tamzin Hughes; and her friend Jim (Bev Swiggett). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
