She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Thorson and Ella Thorson (Arneson); her former husband Vernon Mickelson; her spouse Glenn Thorson; her son Gary Mickelson; and her sisters, Lois Newell and Evelyn Olson.

She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Harseim (late Douglas) of Morris; her granddaughters, Jennifer Varner (Frank) of Morris and Michelle Macdonald (Al) of Morris; her great grandchildren, Bryce, Brady, Shaelye Varner, Harper, Lilly and Landon Macdonald; her stepdaughter Linda Hansen (late Donald) of Morris; her stepgrandchildren, Kady Patterson (James) of Morris, Aren Hansen (Jessica) of Morris, Tara Fullmer (Joshua) of Warrenville and Jacob Hansen of Glenview; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Kyle, James Patterson, James Donald (J. D.) and Emmett Fullmer; and her brothers, Thomas Thorson (Donna) of Morris and Roger Thorson (Lib) of Morris. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice.
