He was predeceased by: his parents, Noble Hanson and Margaret Hanson (Alsvig); and his siblings, Walter Hanson and Joan Rueles. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Rick Hanson (Deb) of Morris, Wes Hanson (Becky) of Morris, Corrinn Wayman (Larry) of Roscoe and Kathy Knudson (Ken) of Serena; and his brother Gerry Hanson of Bristol. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and ten step-great grandchildren.
