He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Zink and Anna Zink (Phillips); his former wife Shirley Rehberg; his daughter Susan McNabb (Scott); and his siblings, Bill Zink and Nancy Day.
He is survived by: his children, JoEllyn Johnson (Brian) and Gary Zink (Wanda); his grandsons, Tom Wills (Robyn) and Tim Wills (Ashley); and his stepdaughters, Dawn Taylor (Kevin), Stephanie Lombardo (Pastor Steve) and Tiffany Dennison (Matt).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to New Community Christian Church for the Building Fund, Special Connections of Grundy County, Lightways Hospice (formerly Joliet Area Community Hospice) or Grundy County Farm Bureau Ag in the classroom.
