She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Schmanske and Fern Schmanske (Moore); her former husband Ronald Poole; her husband Roger Varland; her children, Brad, Beth, Debbie, Sherri and Randy; her grandchildren, Ryann Heap (Melissa Wright), Aaron Heap (Lisa) and Dakota Rogers; her great grandchildren, Greyson and Lydia Heap; and her sister Monica Boetto (Ronnie).
