Maxine S. Varness Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine S. Varness (Morris, Illinois), who passed away on July 12, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Lowell Varness; her siblings, Wendell Torkelson (Marie), Irene Philips (Edward), Lorraine Torkelson and Charlotte Beasley (Earl); and her parents, John Torkelson and Lena Torkelson.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Christian (Robert) of Newark, IL and Rollin Varness (Gloria) of Cleveland, OH; her grandchildren, Kristi Rice (Todd), Robin Jameson (Dave), Sarah Schwab (Chris) and Noah Varness (Bailey); and also Lana Shelest.
Memorials may be directed to the Norway Cemetery or Fox River Lutheran Church.
