He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Ashton and Anna Ashton (Belek); his close friend Dennis Kenney of Morris; and his son-in-law Timothy "Tim" Doss. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Woods; his daughters, LouAnn Delrose (Mark) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Jamie Taylor (Matthew) of Morris, Amy Scruggs (Shawn) of Goodyear, AZ and Chelsea Polcyn (Matthew) of Verona; his grandchildren, Sarah Sparks, Benjamin, Shelby Doss, Anthony Scruggs and Ella Polcyn; and his sister Rosalie Ehrler (Duane) of Morris. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
